Gift ideas for HER

Whether it's your secret santa, girlfriend, mom, sister, teacher, boss, mother in-law, or friend you're shopping for this holiday season... have I got some gift ideas for you:

Perfume sets: These are the perfect gift for just about anyone and are great value. If you're not sure what the person you're shopping for usually wears in perfumes, then consider getting a tester set (travel size versions of several popular perfumes/colognes). Otherwise, generally speaking Clinique, Vera Wang, Dior, and Marc Jacobs are safe bets.
Deluxe Fragrance Sampler For Her ($96 Value)

Magazines: It might seem dated but trust me, a good magazine subscription is a fabulous, reasonably priced gift idea. It's the gift that keeps on giving! Because they'll receive a new magazine every month and think of you. Some great ones: Marie-Claire, Glamour, Vogue, Nylon, W, InStyle.

An Eternity (circle) scarf: They're cute and popular, great for any age or style.
A Peace Treaty Montero Snood Scarf

The Kindle/iPad/E-book reader: Perfect for travelers, commuters, and overall reading enthusiasts.

Train case: Or some sort of travel case for makeup, jewelry or toiletries. It's a glamorous gift that can be purchased at all different price levels.
Bonus points if you fill it with stuff.

Flocked coat hangers: (find these at Canadian Tire, Bed Bath and Beyond, WalMart, etc). They are the perfect clothes hangers. They are slim and flocked so that even the lightest dress or blouse will stay put in your closet.

Great overall stores to check out for the women in your life: Sephora, The Bay, Shopper's Drug Mart, H&M, Bittersweet, Pistachio, Indigo, and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Nerd alert!

Do you have a humidifier yet?
Winter is here y'all. Time to put the moisture back into our skin and hair!

I've had my humidifier in the bedroom for about a month and have noticed a HUGE improvement in my skin (acne and KP) and sinuses/lungs - my hair will always be frizzy, so no helping that.

Usually by this time of year my skin would be broken out and I would have a perpetually stuffed nose and sinuses, as well as consistent chest colds (fun!). So if your health/skin conditions (congestion, dry skin, eczema, and/or acne) are usually aggravated at this time of year then I highly recommend trying a humidifier. You will notice a difference after the first night.

Humidifiers are available at all price ranges and come in different sizes depending on the size of the room you want to use it in - start with your bedroom first. I purchased a "cool" mist humidifier (as opposed to warm steam) for a large room and spent about $50.

...And remember to clean it weekly (or bi-weekly) to prevent mildew.

Happy humidifying!
