Mascara Top Picks

Best mascaras hands-down..

1) Lancome Hypnose - dryer formula, volume with separation
2) CoverGirl Lash Blast - length in 1 coat, buildable volume
3) Physicians Formula Fake Out - fat lashes, not for the faint of heart

Good Buy! Drugstore Edition

1) Physicians Formula Fake Out Mascara - ignore the gaudy packaging that could quite literally poke your eye out, this mascara will give you volumized lashes. The formula is on the drier side but does not flake, so sick.

2) Revlon Age Defying Dark Spot Concealer - I have no idea about the 'dark spot erasing' claim, but this s**t covers everything. Best to apply out of the tube and blend with fingers/brush/sponge not the applicator it comes with which is stiff and reminds me of a bingo applicator (how do I know that?).

3) Aveeno Daily Cleansing Pads - a.k.a the poor girl's Clarisonic. These pads will re-texture your face in one use! Perfect for oily skin that needs a scrub as well as dry skin that needs a de-flaking.

The Body Shop Honey Line

I just re-discovered The Body Shop via their new Honey themed makeup line. Everything has a faint hint of honey scent with bronze and amber colours..I was immediately drawn in. Like a bee to..honey? Ugh.

Anyway, definitely check it out! I've always been a fan of the Body Shop's makeup and skincare line and will definitely be back for more goodies. They currently have a buy 1 get 1 50% off promotion which helps too.

Products I've tried so far:
Honey Bronze Bronzing Gel for Face - Bronzing
Honey Bronze Bronzing Gel ($14)
This gel is perfect for the weekend when you don't want to wear foundation but want a glow to your skin. I find it doesn't work that well under foundation. But I haven't tried mixing it in with my foundation which might be a good workaround.

01 Honey Bunch
Honey Bronze Lip Nectar in 01 Honey Bunch ($13)
This is a sticky, honey scented lip gloss in an beautiful orange colour. I'm a bit disappointed in the texture as the shimmer gives the gloss a gritty feel. Looking beyond that the pigmentation is great and I love the concept.

A few things I'd like to get!
Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil - Bronzing
Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil ($22)
Compared to its much more expensive cousin, Nuxe Huile dry oil which is $60 a pop..
Honey Bronze Brilliance Powder ($22)
This is perfect for travel!
01 Bronze
